Luisa and Ariel’s wedding was the second our team had the pleasure of working at the stunning and historic collection of homes in Williams Bay, Wisconsin called Congress Club. Our first experience with Kristen and John’s wedding still remains as one of our all-time favorite weddings, and Luisa and Ariel’s celebration absolutely lived up to our very high expectations.
The weekend kicked off with a picture-perfect rehearsal dinner overlooking Lake Geneva followed by an incredible welcome party on the iconic Lady of the Lake. Tim Tab Studios expertly captured the festive atmosphere and precursor to the most memorable wedding day.
Wedding day morning dawned…toasty…we’ll say but the wedding party was in good spirits. The bride and groom each read heartfelt notes written by their soon-to-be spouse before putting the finishing touches on their attire. Frontier Flowers of Fontana provided a slew of blooms in their stunning floral palate to use for us to capture all the picture-perfect details. Finally, Ariel with his dapper white dinner jacket and Luisa in her simply stunning slip dress wedding gown were ready to greet each other and kick off the fun.
Instead of doing photos around the hotel, as we are often required to for logistical reasons, we transitioned both groups over to Congress Club thanks to Jones Travel for photos. The property is not only stunning, but holds incredible meaning to Luisa’s family. We carved out a special moment for Luisa and her dad, to see one another before the official first look. It’s always one of my favorite moments of any wedding day and often when I get a little misty. Luisa–the youngest of 5–and her dad sharing that moment in a place with so much history for their family was extra special.
Luisa then walked down to the dock to greet her groom. A little behind-the-scenes info to set the stage…by this time of the day it was HOT…90% humidity and very little breeze. But in seeing these photos one would never know–props to Tim (and Luisa, Ariel, and their wedding party’s natural good looks of course) for making that happen.
The ceremony with its natural lake backdrop and fresh floral color palate executed by Frontier Flowers and graceful ceremony music by Elegant Music Services was beautiful. Guests then enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres on the lawn provided by Shully’s and musical entertainment by Matt Lewis and The Union.
As cocktail hour ended, Matt led the guests via his trumpet in a parade to bring them to the showstopper of a tent. Blue Peak Tents knocked it out of the park with this one. We worked with BBJ La Tavola, Bowery & Bash, Hall’s, Collins Custom Creations, Yellow Bird, and Frontier Flowers to put together the end look and the final look did not disappoint. That entry setup was just *chef’s kiss!*.
While the sun slowly set, guests enjoyed a delightful meal by Shully’s along with spirited toasts by Luisa and Ariel’s family members, a few special dances, and the beautiful and delicious Julie Michelle cake. Soon The Union kicked off and it was a party down to the last note played.
Luisa and Ariel wishing you both the very best; it was such a pleasure helping to put together this gorgeous celebration.
