Greta and Andrew were referred to us by Greta’s sister, Emma, who interned for us back in 2019! It was fun to have her back in “Five Grain land” as a bridesmaid for this beautiful affair.
Their September wedding day morning dawned bright and early at Hyatt Lodge where Patty McGuire’s team was ready to beautify Greta and her bridesmaids. Sherah G caught some snaps of the action while the ladies enjoyed their mimosas and breakfast in the suite (along with Greta’s adorable nieces) before getting dressed for the day in their classic sage satin gowns. Phillip’s did a beautiful job on all the floral for the day–especially the ladies’ organic bouquets.
Andrew and his gentlemen caught a couple extra hours of sleep and then gathered together late morning for lunch before it was time to head to the ceremony. Sherah caught Jess in action pinning boutonnieres!
Greta and Andrew’s ceremony was held at Christ Church in Oak Brook and the show was nearly stolen by the crew of little ones who lead the way down the aisle.
Following their grand exit, the wedding party climbed aboard their Way to Go trolley for a toast and a few photos around the Hyatt campus before joining their guests at the reception.
We absolutely love working at Hyatt Lodge. Their staff is amazing, the food delightful, and there is no shortage of great spots for pics!
DJ Armando from Elevated Event Design announced the wedding party into the room and Greta and Andrew shared their first dance before a blessing and cake cutting (thanks to Creative Cakes) lead into the delicious meal.
We always love listening to friends and family’s toasts to the bride and groom where we get a little more insight into their lives before they became bride and groom!
