Beth is a friend of Joan’s from college so it was extra special helping Todd and Beth celebrate their big day on a stunning September afternoon.
The morning kicked off early for the ladies with a glam sesh by Luis Valdez and LG Makeup + Tans. We were so lucky to have Brittany Bekas and Smiling Toad on hand to ensure not a detail or moment was to be missed.
As wedding day mornings often do, this one sped by in a flash! Before we knew it it was time to grab the Phillip’s Flowers bouquets, board the Aries Charter trolley and head to Christ Church of Oak Brook for the ceremony. We were careful to ensure the bride and groom didn’t accidentally cross paths to preserve their “first look” moment for the walk down the aisle. We loved the raw emotion displayed when Todd saw Beth in her dress for the first time!
Once the ceremony was concluded the wedding party headed toward the forest preserve Graue Mill for some group shots while guests navigated to the Westin Lombard for cocktail hour.
Soon the happy couple and wedding party joined the rest of the guests and it was time to head inside for dinner. The classic floral arrangements by Phillip’s included pops of purple in homage to the lovely eggplant colored bridesmaid dresses with an elegant white backdrop.
Following the wedding party announcements and a cake cutting, Beth and Todd’s guests were treated to Westin’s multi-course dinner that wowed all the senses. Thankfully, everyone saved room for dancing to the musical stylings of Stitely Orchestra.
