I am thrilled to be sharing some highlights from Lake County Partners’ annual Big Event held last spring at Lincolnshire Marriott.
The Big Event is always a hot ticket for northern Chicagoland, bringing together nearly five hundred professionals from across Lake County. We come back to the venue year after year both because of its ability to accommodate the large gathering of professionals and for its elegant backdrop and delightful food and service!
Having collaborated with Lake County Partners since 2016, Five Grain Events has played a crucial role in ensuring the event’s seamless execution. We pride ourselves on transforming the planning process and event day into a well-oiled machine, allowing guests to walk away with smiles and lasting memories.
The morning kicked off with coffee and networking, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie among the attendees. I believe The Big Event still holds the distinguished honor of “most coffee consumed per capita” at an event at Lincolnshire Marriott. Midwest Young Artists provided the perfect musical atmosphere as folks forged new connections.
Soon it was time to move across the hall for breakfast and the program. The event featured LCP President, Kevin Considine, Lake County chairperson, Sandy Hart, and Richard Korengold who gave remarks as outgoing LCP Chairman. Incoming Chair, Steve Madden, presented the Community Investment Award to Henry Broch Foods and recipient, Edan Antonetti shared his perspective on the history of the company’s presence in the county. The morning culminated in the highly anticipated keynote address by the insightful David Epstein, author of the bestselling book Range.
David not only presented a thought-provoking keynote address but also gave generously of his time with each attendee during the post-program book signing. It was heartwarming to witness his dedication to making a personal connection with each person who approached him.
As the event drew to a close, Kevin Considine delivered closing remarks and expressed gratitude to all attendees before inviting them to enjoy a decadent brownie provided by Bent Fork Bakery–to which many eagerly obliged. I don’t think we even ended up with a single one left over!
Our event would not have been a success without the outstanding contributions of our partners. A special thank you to AVP for their expert A/V services and Cobalt Photography for capturing the essence of the day in photographs. The creative touch brought by a5 in branding the event and designing all the content displayed onsite also played a significant role in the event’s success.
We are already buzzing with excitement about next year’s event and the endless possibilities for growth. Cheers!
