Rita and Thomas were so FUN to work with on their October wedding last year. It was a delight getting to know them throughout their COVID reschedules. In our opinion, it was worth the wait!
They began their day at the Marriott Marquis. It was marathon weekend so there was LOTS of action near McCormick place, but thankfully everyone was on time and ready to go. Tamara Makeup and Hair Artistry did a gorgeous job with the ladies. The Adamkovi and Old North Film Company joined us at the hotel for some glam shots before heading out for the first look. We loved the reactions from Rita’s bridesmaids during her dress reveal!
Rita and Thomas had their picture perfect first look at the Henry B. Clarke House. They then joined forces for photos throughout the city on a trolley from Second City Trolley. We can’t get over how much fun this wedding party had together! Rita and Thomas both have a really good sense of humor and their were several hilarious little details peppered throughout their wedding day.
After photos around the city, everyone headed to the iconic Lacuna Lofts in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago for nuptials on the roof. The skyline view during ceremony and cocktails is truly beyond compare. Rita enlisted her grandmother as her flower girl; it was adorable! Reverend Dennis Condon joined us for a heartfelt ceremony.
Anthony Gowder Designs and SC Lighting provided the decor and ambiance for the nights events. We love the personal touches incorporated into the design that accentuated the space.
After a lovely meal from the in-house catering team at Lacuna, LM Catering and Events, we had some very special toasts from friends and family. Before long, the dance floor was open thanks to Toast & Jam DJ’s epic set. There were many coordinated dance groups throughout the night and it one of the liveliest parties we’ve seen in a while! A little late night snack from Cafe Tola capped off the night for these two lovebirds and their friends and family.
Rita and Thomas, thanks for including us in your very special day.
