Museum of Contemporary Art Wedding — Matthew and Brett

Stunning.  There are few words we’d rather use to describe Matthew and Brett’s perfect wedding day.

Their morning was spent surrounded by family and friends at the Sofitel hotel in Downtown Chicago relaxing and spending quality time together.  In the afternoon, they joined their photographer Jaclyn Simpson at the LaSalle Street Bridge for some fun photos.  Matthew and Brett braved the rain to get some amazing photos along the river.  They then headed to the Museum of Contemporary Art for the big celebration!  M&M provided transportation from the hotel to the venue for all of the wedding guests.

The pair had a touching ceremony on the third floor of the MCA with the help of a string quartet from Arlen Music Productions.  Chairs for the ceremony were provided from our good friends at Chiavaris.  The wedding was officiated by a dear friend of the couple, Kat, who did a stellar job.

The rain cleared just in time for cocktail hour, which was held on the MCA’s beautiful terrace illuminated by gorgeous cafe lighting provided by A Posh Production.

Vale of Enna provided all of the brilliant decor featured throughout the space.  We loved the way they interpreted Matthew and Brett’s vision, accentuating every table with striking succulents, air plants, green cymbidiums, and candlelight.  It perfectly complemented MCA’s decorated dance floor featuring custom bars from AFR Furniture Rental.  Each table was also adorned by a special camera from InstantCameraRental for their eclectic interactive guest book.

During cocktail hour, guests were able to roam the first floor galleries before a delicious dinner provided by the museum’s catering team.  Even the salad was a work of art!

A cake cutting, followed by thoughtful toasts from Matthew and Brett’s loved ones were up next.  The cake, designed by Love Sugar and Grace, featured incredible edible cymbidium orchids and succulents made of sugar.  We were blown away by the detail and intricacy of nearly every decor item accentuating the already picture-perfect space.

After a “Thank You” from our grooms, the dance floor was ready to open. Arlen Music Production’s Velocity had everybody (especially Mom) dancing throughout the rest of the night.
