Colleen and Nick had a vision for a beautiful wedding in summertime Chicago, and we were so thrilled to have been a part of bringing that vision to life!

The morning found Colleen and her entourage at the Ambassador Chicago, where the expertise of Tina Tobar in hairstyling and Jose Deleon and Shannon O’Brien in makeup artistry brought out each person’s radiant beauty. Meanwhile, Nick and his crew eased into the day at the couple’s home, practicing the art of the bowtie with the help of YouTube tutorials.

When Katie Kett arrived, her keen eye for detail began immortalizing in the images featured in this post! Soon afterward, Emperor Limousine escorted the wedding party to St. Michael’s Old Town where Nick awaited his bride. The ceremony, led by Fr. Bernie Pietrzak, was a heartfelt affair that seamlessly entwined two lives.

While Colleen and Nick were making it official, the iconic Chicago History Museum was being transformed just a stone’s throw away. Flowers for Dreams brought the space to life with vibrant and lush arrangements filled with summer blooms. Limelight, prepared each of the beautiful table settings, complete with a Miller High Life for a toast that would later honor our couple.

Post-vows, the Lester E. Fisher Bridge became the canvas for group photographs, framing the wedding party against the lush backdrop of Lincoln Park Zoo. Then it was off to the museum to commence the reception festivities.

Cocktails, laughter, and the clinking of glasses marked the start of the evening against the museum’s grand staircase, setting an exciting tone for the evening. The revelers then ascended into the reception hall, where the entrances of Colleen, Nick, and their nearest and dearest were met with cheers.

The Bluewater Kings then sparked the rhythm of the night, cueing the couple’s first dance, which paved the way for tender moments with their parents and an electrifying dance marathon for all.

For those needing a pause, Sweet Mandy B’s provided a sweet interlude, and Ranalli’s served up a slice of comfort with their cheesy pizza, keeping the spirits and energy high.
