Wedding Trends: First Look Wedding Photos

They may not be traditional, but first-look wedding photos are becoming more and more popular. Instead of upholding the tradition of the couple waiting until the ceremony to lay eyes on one another, couples are now choosing to catch a sneak peek earlier in the day. The special moment the two share in private is captured by the photographer and the resulting photos are breathtaking.

One may think that the first look photos are replacing the walk down the aisle moment but it is rather an addition to that occasion. The couple will not be any less excited on the walk down the aisle–as that fateful walk truly means you are about to get married!

Typically one member of the couple “sneaks up” on the other while he or she is turned the other way. Get ready for tears, laughter, and smiles when they first face each other.  The special moment allows the couple to connect privately without hundreds of eyes on them, and share those emotional feelings one-on-one.

One can get creative with where these shots are taken:  from a romantic garden to a sophisticated library setting, there are so many choices when it comes to first looks.  Plus, it frees up so much time for creative wedding party photos without having to miss cocktail hour!
