With over half of their guests coming in from out of town, Jennifer and Sam wanted to give everyone a true Chicago experience. The Old Post Office with its sweeping architecture and storied history, offered exactly that — a grand, iconic space that set the stage for an unforgettable celebration.
The morning began at The W Chicago City Center, where the ladies got glammed by Rare Bird Beauties. Laughter and excitement filled the suite as the day took shape. Meanwhile, the guys gathered in the Vault Room at The Old Post Office for brunch and a relaxed start before the action picked up.
When the couple shared their first look on the Rooftop Meadow, captured beautifully by Fox + Ivory, it was pure magic — Chicago’s skyline in the background, their joy front and center. From there, the wedding party hit some of the city’s most iconic photo spots before heading back in style thanks to Chicago’s Trolley.
Inside the venue, the setup was coming together flawlessly. Anemone filled the space with stunning blooms in romantic tones, while Tablescapes provided the elegant rentals that made each table picture-perfect. The result was a look that was classic, timeless, and a touch dramatic — perfectly in tune with the couple’s vision.
The ceremony, officiated by dear friends and family beneath a lush chuppah, felt personal and heartfelt. Guests sipped sparkling wine and vinho verde as they arrived, setting the stage for a celebration that was sophisticated but full of fun.
Fox + Ivory
Cocktail hour on the rooftop was a hit, featuring Aperol spritzes, spicy margaritas, and Moscow mules. Cocina Fusion crafted an incredible dinner experience, followed by a dessert spread that left no sweet tooth unsatisfied.
As guests found their seats in the Historic Lobby, Okyne Medialab kept the energy high with a lively mix of music. Jennifer and Sam’s first dance was one for the books — ending in an epic lift that earned “Perfect 10s” from their guests, who had been given rating cards to play along.
And just when you thought you’d seen everything, the couple surprised everyone with an espresso martini tower — James Bond himself would have approved. Between the custom cocktails, late-night pizza from Lou Malnati’s, and the glow of light-up wands, the party never slowed down. The night wrapped up with a sparkler photo and one last song that had everyone singing along: Take Me Home, Country Roads.
