Kendall and Jason were high school sweethearts, which means this day had been in the works for a while! Kendall was definitely one of my most on-top-of-it brides, and her attention to detail showed in every aspect of the wedding. I felt honored that she handed over the reins and trusted me with such a special day!
The girls started the day getting ready at Kendall’s childhood home. Meanwhile, the guys spent the morning at Jason’s family abode. Christy Tyler Photography and Lexoria Films were there to document all of the fun.
The ceremony took place at the beautiful St. Paul’s Evangelical Church. Natural Beauties Floral did an amazing job adding a few extra touches to the already lovely church. Amaryllis Strings provided the perfect soundtrack to the ceremony. The service was heartfelt and Kendall looked absolutely radiant.
After a bubble send-off, the wedding party loaded into the party bus from Emperor Limousine and headed to Bloomingdale Golf Club for pictures. Meanwhile, the Bloomingdale Golf Club staff, Natural Beauties Floral, and A Posh Production, were busy setting up for the reception.
From the signs on the backs of the chairs to the special table numbers, every detail in this wedding was treated with care, and it really showed! Natural Beauties Floral carried out Kendall’s all-white floral vision with both stunning high centerpieces and elegant low arrangements. Candlelight radiated and warmed the room. Pops of burgundy were seen throughout. A Posh Production really set the stage for the event with the specialty white dance floor cover, uplighting, and cafe lights strung on the terrace. A friend of Kendall’s mom made custom-molded chocolates as favors, which were put at each place setting.
As Kendall and Jason’s guests arrived, they were greeted by an incredibly creative guest book consisting of a beautiful frame with little white cards hanging on individual nails. Guests signed the backs of the cards, and then flipped them as they hung them back on the nails revealing a beautiful picture of Kendall and Jason!
During cocktails, guests enjoyed the warm summer evening on the terrace. They enjoyed decadent hors d’oeuvres and delicious cocktails, including a specialty cocktail named after their dog! The ambiance was set beautifully with the lights strung by A Posh Production. Guests were riveted by the CoverGirls, an incredible all-girl electronic violin group.
When Cocktail Hour was over, guests made their way into the ballroom for dinner. Once seated, they were treated to a special surprise. The wedding party walked out to pre-recored wedding party announcements by none other than Ray Clay, the former Chicago Bull’s announcer! After the announcements, Kendall and Jason cut their beautiful cake.
Kendall’s parents gave a heartfelt welcome toast, followed by a blessing by the Pastor of St. Paul’s Evangelical Church before dinner was served. During the meal, Kendall’s brother and sister, and both of the best men made touching toasts.
After the cake was served, the dancing began! Kicking off the dancing was the Father/Daughter dance, followed by the Mother/Son dance. Kendall and Jason thanked their guests before dancing for the first time as “Mr. and Mrs.”.
Throughout the night, guests had a great time taking pictures at the selfie station. The DJ from A Posh Production really kept the guests on their feet! Tired tootsies were treated to flip flops to ensure no gap in dancing. Besides a brief pause for the bouquet toss and some high school and college pictures, I think the dance floor was packed all night long!
It was such a pleasure to get to know Kendall and Jason and their families. They were so warm and welcoming and truly special. Thank you both for allowing me to be a part of such a special day. I wish you all the best as you embark on this next adventure together. To love, laughter, and Dunlappily ever after!
