Nick and Lauren chose Nick’s family’s farm as the gorgeous vista for their ceremony and wedding reception. They hired the tenting experts at Blue Peak Tents to create an elegant venue for the affair. As days got closer to the big day, the weather was threatening heat and rain – luckily, Blue Peak was able to provide rain protection siding to the tent to ensure guests would stay cool and dry throughout the reception!
Lauren and her bridesmaids were primped by Zee Artistry to get them beautified for the day’s events, and enjoyed a full spread and mimosas in the comfort of Nick’s parents’ home.
Lauren looked absolutely radiant when the time came for her to step into her gown, as evidenced by the incredible smiles shared with her mother in the moments leading up to the ceremony.
Meanwhile, Nick and his groomsmen casually prepped for the day at the Courtyard Marriott in St. Charles, enjoying a few IPAs and jokes as they dressed in their dapper gray suits.
Nick and Lauren chose not to see one another before their ceremony, which always adds an added element of suspense and romance before the I do’s. You could feel the joyful anticipation throughout the house as Lauren and her bridesmaids took their places inside before the processional began.
Field and Florist gorgeously adorned the spot where the ceremony would take place, covering the arch with greenery and blooms of hydrangea and peach colored roses.
The free-flowing floral arrangements with pops of orange and yellow made the ivory and green elements stand out beautifully. Field and Florist executed every last detail — including the adorable floral crown worn by the flower girl! The mix of rustic barrels topped with stunning, organic arrangements and classic gold chiavari chairs added to the ceremony’s elegance. Lauren looked stunning as she and her father made their way to the arch, where Nick eagerly waited. Erin from Seasonal Ceremonies officiated the service, and before we knew it, Nick and Lauren were officially hitched!
While the wedding party and family members took a few formal portraits around the estate, guests mixed and mingled throughout the yard. They enjoyed specialty cocktails and hors d’oeuvres provided by FIG Catering, and admired all the tiny details — leafy green garland, pastel colored paper cocktail straws and beautifully handcrafted drink menus, complemented by more stunning floral arrangements – that made this wedding so stunning.
Guests soon made their way into the tent for the reception festivities to find their seats at beautiful tables adorned with garlands of greenery and gorgeous gold-detailed dinnerware.
averyhouse captured every aspect of Nick and Lauren’s wedding day, from the laid-back morning makeup session and intimate moments before the ceremony, to the heartfelt speeches and lively dance party that followed dinner. They even caught a few up-close glimpses of Nick’s family horse who popped out of the barn to keep an eye on the festivities.
We were so lucky the rain held off until everyone was safely underneath the tent — a wedding miracle! Once the downpour began, we were able to quickly pull down a few of the sides of the Blue Peak Tent to keep guests dry as they danced the night away!
Toast & Jam provided the beats for a serene and beautiful ceremony, then turned things up to get a boisterous dance party started under the canopy of light beneath the tent. We witnessed some seriously impressive dance moves from Lauren and Nick’s guests!
Smilebooth was on the scene for guests to jump behind the camera with a few props – creating a photo guestbook that Nick and Lauren will be able to enjoy for years to come.
Lauren and Nick, we had so much fun being a part of your wedding — we know you two will be happily living it up together for years to come!
