North Shore Congregation Israel Wedding – Suzanne and Matthew

Some love stories feel like they were written for the screen—and Suzanne and Matthew’s journey from neighbors to newlyweds is straight out of a rom-com. It all began with a walk and a hello: Suzanne was out strolling her dog. Matthew and his daughter couldn’t help but say hi, and just like that, a new chapter began. We’re honored that Five Grain got to be part of the continuation of their story.

The wedding day itself started in a charming AirBNB where Suzanne and her crew prepped for the celebration ahead. With Livia Caporale styling hair and Andie Cumber creating flawless makeup looks, the room buzzed with excitement (and looked fabulous doing it!). Meanwhile, Matthew got ready at home, keeping things relaxed before heading out to the ceremony site.

The group gathered at North Shore Congregational Israel, where Katie Hall Photography captured the magic. First up—Suzanne stepping into her gown, followed by two emotional first looks: one with Suzanne and her father, and one especially touching moment with Matthew’s and his daughter. Then, it was time for Suzanne and Matthew to share their first look, a moment full of joy, nerves, and anticipation.

With portraits underway, the couple, their families, and their wedding party explored the venue for photos while Suzanne’s dear friend Claire Walters transformed the space with gorgeous florals, adding vibrant, meaningful touches to every corner.

As guests began to arrive, the couple gathered in the library for a meaningful Ketubah signing, led by Rabbi Lisa Greene. The ceremony that followed was filled with music and love—made even more personal by the full choir that Suzanne herself usually sings with. One unforgettable surprise? Suzanne arranged for the recessional song “All You Need is Love”—a nod to the beloved Love Actually scene and the perfect way to kick off married life.

Following the ceremony, guests were welcomed into cocktail hour, where Michael’s Catering wowed with delicious drinks and hors d’oeuvres. Laughter filled the air as loved ones mingled in the beautifully appointed reception space.

As the sun dipped lower, it was time for dinner and heartfelt moments. Thoughtful toasts, emotional dances, and a quick round-the-room photo tour by the couple kept the energy high. Throughout the night, Style Matters DJs kept everything flowing—seamlessly emceeing and then launching the dance floor into high gear. Of course, no celebration would’ve been complete without an epic hora, lifting the newlyweds and spirits alike!
