Having the privilege of being a part of Allison and Mark’s mid-summer wedding at Galleria Marchetti was an adventure we will never forget! Not only were these two the sweetest pair, but each of their loved ones mirrored the same wonderful traits. Even a little rain on the big day couldn’t dull their shine.
Allison and her bridesmaids began the day at The Westin River North, where the talented Jennifer Dieas from Glowout worked her magic on all ten of them! While the ladies were busy with glam, Mark and his groomsmen were able to enjoy a tasty lunch at River Roast.
Once Allison slipped into her stunning gown, it was time to show it off! She first shared a sweet moment with her father, then it was time to show her girls. Allison looked absolutely perfect; they all knew Mark was in for such a treat! Up next Allison and Mark shared their sweet and intimate first look right on the Chicago river.
The wedding party loaded onto the trolley provided by Chicago Trolley and Double Decker Co. Now that the whole team was together, it was time for some photos all around the city of Chicago. A few stops, lots of laughs, and many ‘clicks’ of the camera later — they had some amazing photos the couple can cherish for life shot by Amy Aiello Photography.
It was now time to head to the most important part of the day, the wedding ceremony. With rain beginning to fall outside, the fabulous team of vendors and the staff at Galleria Marchetti, quickly set the most beautiful indoor ceremony.
The adorable flower girl and ring bearer made their way down the aisle, filling the room with love and joy. Allison was up next, leading the room into a touching ceremony!
When the ceremony concluded, cocktail hour began and the place was buzzing! Thankfully the summer storm passed and guest mingled out on the patio where Galleria Marchetti staff served hors d’oeuvres. Meanwhile inside, the room was transformed into an elegant and tasteful reception. Flowers for Dreams did such a fantastic job on each arrangement bringing the space to life.
After cocktails, it was time to invite the guests in for the reception. After everyone was announced in, Allison and Mark took the dance floor, sharing their first dance as husband and wife!
While guests enjoyed an open buffet, heartfelt speeches were made honoring the newlyweds. As dinner concluded, DJ Jimmy from Okyne Media Lab played all sorts of musical hits keeping the guest dancing the night away. Bittersweet Pastry Shop and Café stocked an extravagant sweets table with an assortment of delicious treats and coffee for all to enjoy.
