There could not have been a more beautiful Chicago summer day for Katie and Lucas to get married! We were so thankful to have had the opportunity to share the day with such a sweet couple, their fun-loving friends, and their caring family.
The day began at the modern and chic Renaissance Hotel in downtown Chicago. In a beautiful suite with huge corner windows, the women got ready with the help of Dani Lou Beauty and Gia Does Hair. The bridesmaids and the bride were all a group of best friends, and they had so much fun getting ready together, laughing, and dancing around to music! The men got ready a few floors above before Lucas headed downstairs to meet Katie on the State Street Bridge for their first look.
As the wedding party ran all over Chicago taking pictures with the talented and energetic Liz from Elizabeth Greve Photography, we headed over to Galleria Marchetti to begin prepping for the ceremony and reception.
Guests soon began to arrive, filing into the lush outdoor gardens of Galleria Marchetti, where chairs and beautiful white floral provided by Juliet Tan Floral Design were set. After the meaningful ceremony, officiated by Pastor Aaron Schellhas the guests enjoyed the fantastic weather and company with an outdoor cocktail hour.
The reception began just a few feet away in a huge, white peaked tent, decorated with glittering chandeliers, candles, and even more luscious white floral.
After a delicious dinner provided by Galleria Marchetti, the party began as the talented band TVK Orchestra kicked off and the wide open dance floor was soon filled! Everyone danced the night away, indulging in some cake from Bittersweet Pastry, along with hundreds of Brazilian desserts, brought by Lucas’s family. Guests also enjoyed the photobooth provided by XOXO Photobox.
At the end of the night, Lucas and Katie were sent off by their loved ones through a tunnel of sparklers as they shared one last romantic kiss before being whisked away by a car from Infinity Transportation. It was a perfect ending to a magical night!
Katie and Lucas we can’t say enough good things about you two or your special day. We wish you a lifetime full of love, happiness, and those delicious Brazilian desserts!
