Tree House City Kitty Soirée at Artifact Events

There are some events where you can feel the joy the moment the doors open—and Tree House Humane Society’s City Kitty Soiree was absolutely one of them. Set inside the bright and beautiful Artifact Events, this reimagined fundraiser brought together a vibrant community of cat lovers for a groovy, Beatles-inspired brunch that was equal parts playful and impactful.

The day began early as the Five Grain Events team arrived onsite alongside the production crew from ShowCo, transforming the space into a whimsical, cat-centered experience. With thoughtful signage, cozy lounge moments, and carefully planned activations, every detail was designed to guide guests through a morning that felt both relaxed and engaging.

By mid-morning, the room was fully set—tables dressed, AV dialed in, and the stage ready for what was to come. A special connection for Joan, especially, was that she was able to hire her dad, Andy and his bandmate Dave (both accomplished guitarists and avid Beatles fans) to play for the event! Music began to fill the space just as guests started to arrive, setting a laid-back, welcoming tone that carried throughout the morning. Meanwhile, the always calm and collected Renata Voci settled in to capture the morning’s most memorable moments.

As guests checked in and made their way upstairs, the brunch experience kicked off in full swing. Stations opened and the buffet from Hearty Boys quickly became a crowd favorite, while conversations flowed as easily as the coffee. But perhaps the most irresistible stop of the morning? The kitten play area, thoughtfully tucked into the library space to keep things calm and cozy for its tiny (and very popular) residents. It was nearly impossible not to pause, smile, and stay awhile.

As the morning transitioned, guests were guided downstairs for the program. Attendees found their seats and the energy shifted from social to meaningful in the best possible way. Emcee Natalie Bomke of Fox News led the program with warmth and ease, while powerful storytelling and mission-driven messaging reminded everyone why they were there: to support Tree House Humane Society’s work in giving every cat a safe, healthy life.

Just before the paddle raise, in a twist inspired by both the impact video and the wedding scene from Love Actually, select guests stood one by one throughout the room, each sharing—in a single word—what Tree House means to them. It was unexpected, heartfelt, and deeply moving… a powerful way to show the collective impact of the community just before the room came together once more in generous support.

Following the fundraising moment, the curtains opened up and the energy returned to celebration. Our talented guitarists kicked things off with “All You Need Is Love” as guests made their way through for sweets and coffee.

As the afternoon wrapped and guests began to depart, it was clear this wasn’t just a fundraiser—it was a true reflection of Tree House’s mission and community. Joyful, welcoming, and filled with heart, City Kitty Soiree was a beautiful example of what happens when thoughtful planning meets a meaningful cause.
