It was such a joy working with Allison and Leo back in May for their gorgeous wedding and reception. They were troopers throughout the tense months leading up to their wedding with many unknowns about allowable guest counts and other gathering restrictions. It was truly a thrill that we were able to see this wedding day come to fruition!
We spent the morning getting ready in a spacious suite at the JW Marriott. Excitement filled the air as Gina from The Bridal Beauty Team worked on the ladies makeup and Ericka Derry did everyone’s hair. LEAP met us at the hotel to film the morning prep and Clary Pfeiffer Photography did an absolutely stunning job capturing the whole day.
Allison chose to be married in the gown both her mother and grandmother wore! Absolutely stunning.
Allison and Leo chose not to do a first look and the anticipation was palpable when we arrived at Old St. Pat’s. Monsignor Kenneth Velo did a wonderful job presiding over the service and credit to Gerber & Scarpelli for the stunning ceremony captures.
After the ceremony, the wedding party headed out to take photos at the iconic Art Institute Gardens. Windy City Limo and Aries Charter provided transportation throughout the day.
The group then headed over to Chicago Illuminating Company for the reception. We loved witnessing Allison’s reaction as she entered the space. She had been dreaming of the decor elements for well-over a year and the Flower Firm truly delivered. We especially loved the bookcase filled with photos of family members on their wedding days.
BOKA Group knocked it out of the park with their dinner service. We heard heartfelt, touching toasts from the bride and groom’s friends and family while everyone enjoyed their meal. The sweet ending from the Alliance Bakery cake was the perfect transition into the fun of dancing soon to follow.
TVK Orchestra opened up the dance floor for all to enjoy. Allison surprised us all with a quick dress swap and danced the night away.
