We are so honored to have been a part of Karly and Kevin’s big day in November. Their love for one another, and for everyone who joined them that day, was felt by all.
The day began at the Palmer House, where Karly and her bridesmaids sipped on mimosas as they got their hair and makeup done by the talented Rosemary Monica.
Kevin and his groomsmen enjoyed a relaxing morning as well, complete with card games and instructional bowtie-tying videos. WS Photography and Petit Four Films joined both sides of the wedding party to make sure every moment was captured.
After putting on her stunning Maggie Sottero gown, Karly had a heartwarming first look with her dad before she and her bridesmaids headed to the church.
M&M Limo came to the Palmer House to whisk each side of the wedding party to the majestic Holy Family Catholic Church. After a beautiful ceremony led by Father Michael Gabriel with music by Colony Productions, the wedding party headed into the city to take some group photos.
As the wedding party was snapping away, the Five Grain Events team headed to The Bridgeport Art Center to set up. At six o’clock, guests entered a large, vintage elevator (with a bar inside!) that opened up to cocktail hour. They enjoyed incredible hors d’oeuvres by Blue Plate and cocktails by Venue Logic.
Guests were then invited in for dinner. From the candles, greenery, and floral arrangements by a family friend, to the awe-inspiring globe lights by Art of Imagination the space was transformed into nothing short of a fairytale.
Karly and Kevin enjoyed their first dance to “Can’t Help Falling In Love,” and then the father of the bride delivered an off-script, sincere welcome speech. During their delicious meal by Blue Plate, guests also enjoyed speeches by the maid of honor and the groom’s two siblings.
For dessert, in addition to various treats by Blue Plate, there was a delicious wedding cake from Weber’s Bakery.
Kevin and Karly gave a touching thank you to all of their loved ones, which was followed by the parent dances.
Time Chicago was phenomenal and kept people dancing all night long! Guests also had the option to take a break and head over to a small freight elevator, where the ShutterBooth photobooth was set up.
Towards the end of the night, a shuttle from First Student began taking guests back to the hotel. Karly and Kevin had many favors for their beloved guests to take home, including candles and soaps from The Karibu Centre, a non-profit organization that Karly and Kevin volunteered with in Kenya in 2017.
Karly and Kevin, thank you again for including us in your special day. We enjoyed every moment of working with you, and wish you all the love and happiness in your marriage!
