Happy Anniversary, Hilary and Jeremy!

April 22, 2022

Hilary and Jeremy’s April 2021 wedding was my first post-pandemic event, and even though it much smaller than most of the weddings we had planned before 2020, it still felt SO good to be “back in the swing of things” helping beautiful couples celebrate making it official.

We loved the perfect details they included in their City View Loft affair and all the ways they ensured their personalities shone through.

Congrats and happy anniversary, you two!

Much love,

Joan

Carnivale Wedding — Shannon and Adam

April 19, 2022

Ian Borgerhoff Photography

We had such a blast working with Shannon and Adam on their wedding remix at the beginning of October 2021. Their pure joy and excitement was contagious — fueling the fun-filled day with love and laughs for everyone involved!

The day began at Hotel Audrey where Shannon and her team got all dolled up for the day. Hairstylist, Niki Spano and make-up artist, Casey Skinner, worked their magic as the ladies relaxed and hung out. Meanwhile, the gentlemen were a few floors away slipping into their suits and adjusting their ties in preparation for the cerebration to come!

Before we knew it, Adam took his place in front of the hotel to await his beautiful bride. The couple shared a sweet and intimate moment soaking it all in.

Following the first look, Aries Charter was ready to whisk the entire group away for a photoshoot at Buckingham Fountain. The group captured fun and lively photos with the incredibly talented Ian Borgerhoff Photography behind the lens!

Back at Carnivale our team of vendors was hard at work putting the finishing touches on the already colorful and lively space! LyssCo Designs perfected each table with a glowing centerpiece while we handled displaying the couple’s creative personal touches!

The wedding party soon returned and guest began to fill the space with anticipation for the lovely ceremony to come. Shannon made her way into the room with a grand entrance met by both of her parents. Their sweet ceremony warmed the hearts of all guests, and of coursed finished with a magical kiss!

Cocktail hour kicked off next. The couple added a Vow Renewal and Knighting Station for the guests to enjoy while sipping their cocktails and enjoying hors d’oeuvres served by Carnivale. Guests also had the chance to slip off to snap photos in the photo booth provided by Shutterbooth!

After cocktail hour everyone was invited into the reception space for the main event! Shannon and Adam were honored with heartfelt toasted from their loved ones. Carnivale served a delicious meal that helped to fuel a lively dance floor, and Cage and Aquarium kept the party going with the couples favorite party songs.

Zhou B Arts Center Wedding — Karina and Patrick

April 5, 2022

Emily Antonelli Photography

To know Karina & Patrick, is to LOVE this sweet, fun-loving, perfect pair! By the time this couple asked us to be apart of their big day, we had known Patrick for years. We met years ago when planning a corporate event for a company he worked for. After a year-long postponement, we couldn’t have been more excited to help them throw the big celebration they deserved!

The day started out at Marriott Marquis where Karina and her ladies were getting glammed up by Cindy Murrin, Nikki Difiglio, and Kim Marroquin. Karina took a brief moment to read a special note from her soon-to-be husband before slipping into her stunning dress and wowing her loved ones. Meanwhile, our groom was getting ready with his crew. Bo (Karina and Patrick’s adorable pup) even got to spend some time celebrating his humans on wedding day.

Before long, it was time for Karina and Patrick to share their first look. Emily, from Emily Antonelli Photography, made sure this moment was intimate and incredibly special. She captured the most perfect images to prove it!

Soon after, the couple and their loved ones loaded on to the limo provided by MO Star and were whisked away to Zhou B Art Centers Life Garden to capture group photos.

While the group enjoyed their photo ops our team of vendors was hard at work at Zhou B Arts Center creating the ceremony and reception of Karina and Patrick’s dreams.

Hedonia Flowers brought life to the space with their beautiful ceremony arch along with fresh and beautiful floral arrangements. Art of Imagination was there ensuring all decor and lighting were perfectly displayed. They took their time to hang all cafe lights to help to light up both the ceremony and dance floor!

Blue Water Kings sting trio began to play and we knew it was time to get the ceremony started. Adorable nieces, nephews, and Bo made their way down the aisle first. Then, Karina glowed as she was escorted down the aisle by her two loving and devoted parents.

Just like that, Karina and Patrick were married and it was time to celebrate! Cocktail hour began and LM Catering served cold drinks and delicious appetizers to kick off the party.

At the end of cocktail hour, guests were invited upstairs for the main event. Thet bride and groom were the first to take the dance floor surrounded by all the people they love. Heartfelt speeches spoke of the beautiful relationship these two have.

Once dancing kicked off, Blue Water Kings kept the dance floor alive all night long! LM kept a dessert bar supplied with sweet treats to help keep energy going. If treats weren’t your thing Phil’s Pizza supplied a cheesy late night pizza pie!

University Club of Chicago – Victoria and Mike

March 22, 2022

Victoria and Mike’s gorgeous September wedding was one for the books! Their incredibly caring and fun personalities shone throughout the day and well past the last song of the night. There was never a doubt that the love they have for each other is immense, and Brittany Bekas was able to capture that so perfectly.

The day began with hair styling by Three One Two Bridal and makeup by Shannon O’Brien, while Brittany Bekas Photography and Sean Pierce gathered some gorgeous detail shots.

Victoria finished getting ready with a little help from her Mother and Maid of Honor, and then it was off to The Library for the first look with Mike.

When the time came for the ceremony to begin, guests sat in University Club of Chicago‘s sun-drenched Cathedral Hall beautifully adorned by Flowers for Dreams. Victoria and Mike shared plenty of laughs as their close friend officiated while family members who weren’t able to attend in person enjoyed the nuptials via live stream set up by Luxe Productions.

To say that Rendezvous got the party started at the reception is an understatement. Even during the speeches the band kept the energy lively and once the dance floor opened it up it was full for the rest of the evening. Victoria and Mike’s family members even joined the band for a song, giving their guitarist and drummer a break, and they knocked it out of the park!

Victoria and Mike, being a part of your wedding was so much fun and we love having the chance to work with such wonderful people. Weddings like this remind us that we have the best jobs in the world! Congratulations to you both!

Butterfield Country Club Wedding–Meg and Sanjay

March 15, 2022

From my first chat with Meg’s mom, Maureen, I knew this was going to be a blast of a wedding.  There was so much joy in her voice as she described plans for her daughter, Meg, and her soon-to-be son-in-law, Sanjay’s Labor Day Weekend celebration!  When the big day arrived it was just as fun as we had imagined.

Rebecca Marie Photography

Wedding day morning was easy-peasey.  Meg’s bridesmaids got their hair done at Zazu Salon before returning to the Hilton Oak Brook Hills to get dressed and ready.  My longtime pal, Rebecca, of Rebecca Marie Photography met us at the hotel to capture all the prep.  Sanjay spent the morning at the driving range with his groomsmen and then decided to keep his “getting ready” time quiet before all the excitement of the day began.

The midwest celebration was “Part 2” of the wedding festivities–the California wedding (where Sanjay hails from) had been a couple weeks prior–and so many of their details had been meticulously planned down to Sanjay’s custom cufflinks engraved with each wedding date.

Sanjay and Meg shared their first look at Butterfield Country Club.  The rain had been teasing us all day long, but it stopped just before the crew took photos all around the property.  The bouquets created by The English Garden were bursting with bright and joyful colors.  I just loved Meg’s tea length dress.

The ceremony, held under a stately tree glowing with cafe lights, was perfectly tailored to the couple.  Guests waved colorful ribbons to celebrate the bride and groom once they made it official.

The reception was held in Butterfield’s tent.  You couldn’t have picked more perfect details for a summertime celebration.  From the crisp sky blue table linens, to the brilliant floral arrangements, to (my favorite addition) the table numbers hand-painted by the bride’s mother, it was certainly one to remember.

Following a delicious dinner and some truly heartfelt toasts, Talk of the Town Big Band kicked off and kept the dance floor filled until the end of the night (and then some!).

Meg and Sanjay, you two were a joy to work with and it was such a pleasure getting to be welcomed into your families for the weekend.  Cheers to many many years of celebration!
