Some events hit especially close to home—and Allegra’s Bat Mitzvah was one of those unforgettable days. As the eldest daughter of our fearless leader and founder, Joan of Five Grain Events, this milestone held extra meaning for our entire team. When it came time to plan and execute the big day, there was no question we’d be there with hearts full and clipboards ready.
The celebration began early Saturday morning, with Allegra and her family getting ready at home—surrounded by love, laughter, and a little bit of pre-event excitement. Meanwhile, the vendor dream team was already in action at Sarabande, preparing to bring the day to life.
The ever-talented Tim of TimTab Studios arrived just before the family, ready to capture every candid smile and heartfelt moment. Allegra jumped into portraits and family photos as soon as she arrived, while Paramount Events greeted guests with coffee and pastries as they filtered in for the morning service.
The ceremony itself was a beautiful reflection of Allegra’s interfaith upbringing. Rabbi Ari Moffic led a moving service, while Father Tom Hurley added a thoughtful and deeply personal layer to the celebration. Rhona Wehner provided the musical accompaniment, filling the room with warmth and emotion through her gentle guitar melodies and heartfelt vocals.
Following the service, guests were treated to a stunning brunch display by Paramount Events—equal parts beautiful and delicious. Joan and Pat offered a warm thank-you toast to their family and friends, setting the tone for the celebration still to come.
Then, the real party kicked off! Style Matters DJs brought the energy, getting guests of all ages on the dance floor with a perfectly curated playlist. For those needing a little sugar boost in between songs, cookies from Sweet Mandy B’s offered the sweetest (and most photogenic!) break.
Being part of Allegra’s Bat Mitzvah was more than just an event for us—it was a moment of deep pride, celebration, and gratitude. Watching our team come together to support one of our own was a powerful reminder of why we do what we do.
