A Micro-Wedding at home – Kaitlin and Dan

The weather could not have cooperated more for Katie and Dan on October 10th 2020.  As many couples were faced with a tough decision on how to proceed with celebrations in 2020, Katie and Dan decided that  an intimate micro-wedding was the right fit for them. They reduced their guest list to a fraction and moved the venue outside to Katie’s parents’ backyard.

Everyone was all smiles (under masks) as the ceremony was poised to begin. The crisp fall air surrounded guests and bright sunshine abounded as Rendezvous Music‘s pianist and violinist began to play.

The fall florals by Flowers for Dreams were absolutely breathtaking. Katie’s stunning bridal bouquet filled with garden roses, dahlias, pampas grass, and amaranth was a show-stopper and their ceremony archway was overflowing with loose lush foliage. Even Katie’s childhood dog, Millie, was decked out in the wedding themed florals as the “pooch of honor”.

Guests began to arrive and were escorted to socially distanced cabaret tables for the ceremony and reception. Although faces were hidden behind masks, you could feel the happiness in the air.

The ceremony was full of love, laughter, and joy.

As the sun set and temperatures dipped, the warmth of the crowd came through. The evening was spent enjoying delicious food prepared by Blue Plate Chicago.

Although this was far from the day Katie and Dan had initially planned; it truly could not have been a more perfect intimate affair. We wish Katie and Dan the very best in life, love and happiness!
