The Ivy Room Wedding — Caelan and Eric

Every once in a while, you meet a couple whose love for each other will light up an entire room. Caelan and Eric are most certainly this couple — just ask any of their loved ones! We are so blessed to have been a part of their incredible September wedding at The Ivy Room.

Caelan and her ladies started the big day at Hotel Palomar, where they each had hair and makeup perfected by the talented team from Morgan Marie Beauty. While the ladies were enjoying some pampering, the groomsmen were able to gather in the hotel’s Mosaic Hospitality Suite to enjoy lunch.

Before long, it was time for Caelan to slip into her stunning wedding gown. Caelan looked absolutely perfect as she left to see her soon-to-be husband for their first time on the hotel’s rooftop.

After Eric and Caelan shared an intimate and romantic first look captured by the talented Julia Franzosa Photography, it was time for the wedding party to load onto the trolley provided by Chicago Trolley Company. They were soon off to take wedding party photos along the Riverwalk, as we headed to The Ivy Room to ensure setup was going off without a hitch!

As expected the venue was coming together perfectly. Although the clouds were playing tricks on us, the ceremony was able to go as planned in the iconic garden at the Ivy Room. Soon, the ceremony started and the whole crowd was overcome with joy and love as the couple said ‘I do’!  Father Wayne Watts from St. John Berchmans was the perfect officiant.

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails in the courtyard while Front of House Band set the mood with catchy tunes. Inside, Dilly Lily was setting pieces filled with vibrant greenery and lush floral, bringing the space to life.

Just as raindrops were beginning to fall, guests were invited inside to get the party started.  As soon as guests were seated, the newlyweds made their big debut! The blessing, a welcome speech, and two toasts honoring the couple and their love for one another filled the room with laughter, tears, and joy.

Eric and his mother took to the dance floor, followed by Caelan and her father. Near the end of the second dance, all guests were invited to have a quick dancing session before dinner to help set the mood.

As guests sat down for dinner and dessert, Caelan and Eric took a second to say ‘thank you’ to all of their friends and family members for making their special day so perfect! Front of House Band went into full swing, playing a wide variety of hit songs that brought the dance floor to life.  Shutterbooth brought the party up a notch with their eclectic and fun photobooth.

Caelan and Eric, we are so very blessed to have been a part of your magical wedding day! It was an absolute pleasure of getting to know the two of you and your epic love story. We wish you endless years of love, health, and happiness!
