Chicago weddings in the fall are full of elegance and charm; Kara and Jeff’s was no different. With the first snow of the season, the city rustled with energy making it no better time to celebrate their special day.

The day began at the Courtyard by Marriott Chicago Downtown/River North where Kara and her bridesmaids spent the morning with the lovely ladies of We Only Do Pretty for hair and makeup. Everyone looked gorgeous, but of course Kara stole the show in her classic Ines Di Santo gown made complete with a delicate yet dramatic skirt.

Jeff and his groomsmen also spent the morning at the hotel, enjoying refreshments and one another’s company as they began getting dressed.

Ryan Moore Photography was there all morning to capture each detail and special moment. The florals from Flowers For Dreams were the perfect finishing touch and complimented everyone’s attire. After taking photos around the hotel, Kara and Jeff departed on their trolley from Second City Trolley for their first look and photos around the city with their wedding party.

Meanwhile, at Artifact Events, Flowers For Dreams was busy creating a beautifully romantic and candlelit space. They incorporated a lot of Kara and Jeff’s own decor along with their gorgeous arrangements, draping, and lighting.

Kara and Jeff’s ceremony was wonderfully warm and intimate, with members from their wedding party performing a song for their processional. The wedding was officiated by their close friend, the Honorable Mary Kay Rochford. Kara and Jeff also shared touching stories and read aloud their written vows to one another.

Guests moved into the newly renovated Lounge area of Artifact Events where they were greeted with cocktails and passed appetizers from Hearty Boys Catering.

After cocktail hour, guests headed upstairs to the Loft for dinner where they were surrounded by more amazing decor from Flowers For Dreams, an elegantly appointed head table, a beautiful family photo display, and an amazing sweets table covered with cupcakes from Maddiebird Bakery and donuts from Glazed and Infused. Speeches and special dances entertained all as they enjoyed an incredible meal from Hearty Boys before TheLabel Music and Entertainment Group opened the dance floor, getting the party started and keeping it going strong until the very last song of the evening.
