It’s never an easy task to predict what the weather will be like in Chicago for an April wedding. We have had days filled with blustery winds and snow as well as 90 degree days of pure sunshine. Although we always hope for the latter it’s not always the case. This April 29th was not going to be the picture-perfect April day we all had in mind but it definitely wouldn’t stop this beautiful wedding from shining.
Sebastian Rotarski of Rotarski Photography along with Kenneth Foster of Shutter and Sound were there to capture the day’s festivities form the start. The girls gathered at Emma’s parents’ breathtaking home in Lincoln Park which created the perfect environment for getting ready and capturing the beauty of the girls. Elena Denning from Belle Rowe was the resident hair and makeup expert.

The girls looked stunning in their floor length dresses which perfectly complimented the seasonably drizzly April day. They helped Emma into her breathtaking Michal Medina gown and prepared to embark on the day’s festivities at the University Club in a vehicle from M&M Limo Service.

Meanwhile, the men gathered in the Billiards Room at The University Club of Chicago. They were dressed to a T in their tuxes which were the perfect accent to Brandon’s signature blue tuxedo.

The first look took place on one of the top floors of the University Club. The floor to ceiling windows offered just the right amount of the light while showcasing Chicago’s beautiful Millennium Park. The scene could not have been more perfect.

It was not long before the couple was off to say “I do”. The ceremony took place in the grandiose Cathedral Hall. Romantic candle light and soft magenta uplighting glimmered in the space.

A Stem Above had scattered light blush petal roses down the aisle leading to the fairytale-like trellis draped in flowing chiffon, greenery, and blush floral. The space was easily fit for the marriage of a prince and princess. The ceremony was full of love, laughter, and joy.

Finally, it was time to let loose and celebrate this stunning couple! The room was the epitome of classic elegance from the chiavari chairs and gorgeous china to the breathtaking floral and stained-glass windows.

The speeches and toasts were thoughtful, funny, and perfect. Each filled the room with tears and laughter.

There were very few dry eyes in the crowd as Emma danced with her father to the classic song “My Girl”. Both father and daughter were filled with love and joy–both smiled from ear to ear the entire song!

After the father daughter dance ended the crowd quickly jumped to their feet to get their “dance on” and Great Life Music kept the crowd going well into the night. Guests only seemed to stop for an opportunity to capture some moments from the evening at the Photo Booth created by Fotio.

This video highlight by Shutter and Sound more than sums up Emma and Brandon’s brilliant wedding day.
Even though the weather was not ideal, love and smiles more than compensated for those dreary Chicago skies. Emma, Brandon as well as their families were a true pleasure to work with. We wish them all the very best in life, love and happiness!
