Working on this backyard fête last summer was such a fun change of pace. Neither buttoned-up corporate meeting nor elegant and dramatic wedding, this high school graduation party was filled with jubilant celebration and whimsy, honoring a lovely young woman and soon-to-be Georgetown Bulldog!
Blue Peak Tents provided the backdrop for the celebration with a large frame tent, lovely string lighting, and the chairs and tables to accommodate many friends and family. M&M Special Events brought in the navy and gray linens and all of the accoutrements to make sure guests could eat and drink to their hearts’ content. A very talented friend provided much of the delightful mediterranean cuisine which was complemented by fresh grilled meats, as well as shawarma and falafel from Fattoush. Drinks on Me Catering manned the bar to ensure soft drinks and “mocktails” were flowing throughout the event.
Since floral seemed too formal for the occasion, Luft Balloons created balloon runners with some floral accents, as well as a giant “G” for Georgetown which hung in the grand front entryway. The graduate’s very talented mother was the brains behind all of the fun navy and gray décor featuring (only slightly) embarrassing photos of our honoree throughout her youth.
To make sure the event was action-packed, we put together several interactive experiences for the high school graduates. Little Creperie was making delectable crêpes to order. AMJ Spectacular Events brought along a giant jenga and bags set and, of course, Danny with XDI Events made sure the dance floor was packed with eager party-ers from age 18-80!
It was such a fun time working together on this momentous occasion–I look forward to more opportunities to celebrate together!
