When I first met Mary and Steven, it was obvious how very much they cared for one another. They were high school sweet hearts and they still had that young, high energy connection. I was eager and excited to work with such a lovely couple and could not have been more happy that they came to our team for help!

On wedding day morning, Mary and her bridesmaids got ready at the sophisticated Renaissance Hotel. The room was brimming with excitement as bridesmaids sang along to their favorite tunes while being made-up. The makeup team from Makeup by Jaycie and hair team lead by one of Mary’s close friends did an incredible job! Gerber + Scarpelli were there to capture the laughter and enthusiasm of the bridal party.

While the ladies were getting dolled up, Steven and his groomsmen were hanging out at Steven’s condo. When the men were ready, a trolley from Second City Trolley took them to Old St. Pat’s, where Steven would wait to meet his bride .

The ceremony at Old St. Pat’s was a traditional Catholic mass featuring meaningful readings and lovely musical selections. Following the mass, the new Mr. and Mrs. stepped out of the church and were greeted by friends and family. The couple then hopped back onto the trolley with their bridal party and went all over Chicago to capture some fun photos .

After the photo shoot, the whole crew headed over to Galleria Marchetti, for a few minutes of relaxation before their reception began. While the room was being set up, the couple and wedding party enjoyed some sandwiches and did some unwinding before the big celebration kicked off.

Cocktail hour began outside as more and more guests arrived to Galleria Marchetti. Towards the end of the hour, we pulled Mary and Steven aside to show them the reception room set-up. They were in awe of the gorgeous space filled with beautiful centerpieces by Life in Bloom and the special touches in paper (or wood, as it were!) crafted by Studio M Creations.

Guests were encouraged to come into the pavilion and join on the dance floor as the Chris Sarlas Orchestra got the party going! The band was very impressed with everyone’s high energy and promised them more songs later in the evening. Mary and Steven shared a very special first dance, which was followed by loving toasts from the fathers of the bride and groom. You could tell that the whole room was in support of Mary and Steven throughout the affectionate toasts from matron and maid of honor and the best men. Throughout the flurry of action, the guests enjoyed a delightful meal served by Galleria Marchetti.

After toasts and dinner, it was time for the dance party to begin! The Chris Sarlas Orchestra started back up and kept people’s feet moving all night long. The Bittersweet Pasty wedding cake was cut up and placed on tables around the room, along with late night snacks provided by Galleria Marchetti.

At the end of the night, Windy City Limousine transported guests back to their hotels or to the after party at the Hubbard Inn.
