Carolyn and Karl’s black tie November wedding is pure elegance…
A lot of the time, bride’s offer the advice not to spend time on details that your guests won’t notice, but I love Carolyn’s take on it: “We focused on the details that not every guest would notice. A few of our favorites were using my great grandmother’s silver vase to hold my bouquet at our sweetheart table, borrowing my grandmother’s mink shawl to keep me warm on our drive to the Art Institute in my uncle’s 1937 Lincoln, cutting the cake with Karl’s Nana’s cake cutter, and dancing to a song that we heard at our first concert together. They were small things, but they were details that allowed our families to contribute to and be intimately involved in our special day.”
